maiden voyage of new nikon

i was recently gifted a nikon coolpix s5. at 6.0 megapixels, it's a step better than my old sony cybershot 5.1 [also a gift]. still a point-and-click, but so far i'm impressed with so many nice-looking shots from a camera that's so basic. they need very little editing straight off the card and it has a lot of interesting settings i haven't seen yet. i used to love canon, but i think i may be changing my mind.

anyway, i decided to take my new camera into my new city yesterday to see what i could come up with. i'm afraid they might be a little boring but i'm willing to let everyone else decide.
